All the details I have in my journal are scriptures and what we were walking through with God, these I will keep for the book.
Family meetings with the doctors over these days gave us information that things did not look good for Noel, brain damage and possible very long term rehabilitation, they made the decision to withdraw life support on the Friday.

Day 8 Saturday 16/01/10
Life support was withdrawn, the doctors expected Noel to die within hours.
Ps. Paul and Ps. Neal were with Noel when this took place. Ps. Paul spoke to Noel and he responded by making a noise. After some time (a few hours) we gathered around his bed and sang one of Noel’s favourite songs “From the inside out” then prayed. Noel was responding to voice and touch and was answering by making noises.

Day 9 Sunday 17/01/10
Noel recognized his brother Paul. The nurse asked Noel who his visitor was and he said “my brother”, the nurse asked him what is his name and Noel said “ Paul”
(Sally) Noel spoke to me when I went in. I asked him if he was tired and he replied “I’m exhausted” , filled up when I told him people all over the world were praying for him. The doctors said he had improved even within the last five hours, one doctor was calling him Lazarus.

(NZT) Friday 22 January 4:30pm

Noel continues to progress well, his memory is slowly coming back due to all the prayer that has been sent up for him - but we need to keep it going. He is extremely tired and needing his rest. This season in Noels life reminds me of the story in the bible when Jesus prayed for a blind man to see and the blind man said I see men walking like trees so Jesus prayed again and the blind man could see clearly. We have seen numbers of miracles in Noels life up till now but we need to keep praying to see full restoration

(NZT) Thursday 21 January 1.54pm

Noel is progressing well and was sitting in a lazy boy chair today initiating conversation but struggling with his memory at times. He is frustrated as he wants to be able to go two places Home and Church. We have set him up with a TV so he can watch some of his favourite dvds Brave Heart and a few sermons. Please keep praying it is making a difference. Specifically, pray for his family and all those who have contact with Noel (as he is asking them if they are christians and telling them they should know God) and that this season of Noel and Sallys life will bring great things for them.

Its fantastic news to see that Noel has made some progress on his road to recovery we have a few shocked doctors and nurses they are both amazed and elated. Noel has gained the nick name Lazarus by one of the doctors. We have truly seen a miracle! Noel has been communicating with words, and a few cheeky grins. He still has a long way to progress on his road to recovery. Now is not the time to breath a sigh of relief and relax, but more a time to continue with your prayers as we journey on this miraculous road to recovery with Noel. Sally, Jen and the boys have shown an incredible amount of faith and strength they are truly more than champions
